Culture In The Digital Age Documentary Poster (First Draft)

Image
I made this poster on PicsArt. I started by using a picture of a smashed white wall as the background, then I over layed a bunch of images. I used bright colours and meme images to draw the attention of younger viewers. It also fits in with that youthful BBC Three vibe.

My Culture In The Digital Age Documentary (First Draft)

Disclaimer : I know I come across as a bit of an idiot at certain parts of this documentary but I needed to make it interesting. This means that I had to play things up more in order to create a better documentary. This means that I did say some silly things (mainly towards they end) in order to replicate that silly naive BBC Three youthfulness. I did that for comedic effect, as well as a way to appeal to my target audience.

Post Production Diary (Documentary)

My Post Production Diary So I edited my documentary using Kinemaster Premium because I know how to use it better than Premiere Pro. I also used the app Text Crawl for my ending credit scene. The apps I used where fairly competent and I didn't run into any basic issues whilst editing my documentary.  The first edit I did was add my voice over as well as some music. This is a basic yet crucial edit. The music I used was Hall Of The Mountain King. I used that track because I have seen it used in various documentaries. I made sure to turn down the music to the point where you can hear the voice over. I also added some facts and statistics over my video to show people that I am talking facts. I also used an mp3 converter to change my voice over from a video to a soundtrack (MP4 to MP3).  This next edit I did was for my intro. I added a black block as an image and overlaid it over my video. I then added my text and made sure to add the fade effect at 1.5 speed. This makes a ni...

360 Video Analysis

Image
So I went out and filmed a video with a Insta 360 camera and I have edited 2 different versions of the same clip on the Insta 360 editing software.  So for my first clip I focused more on rotating the camera around the building showing most of my surroundings such as the roof, windows and seating area. I then focused on the left hand side of the outdoor seating area with me then transitioning into the small planet effects followed by the crystal ball effect pointing towards the red building as well as me and the group. I then twisted the camera towards the pavement and activated the small planet effect again.  For my second clip I instead started the clip by pointing the camera towards us and slowly panning it around the cafĂ©. After that I panned the camera towards the stairs and the left hand side of the building before using the crystal ball and turning it back towards us walking out of the door instead of focusing on the doors. I then spin the camera around outside using a ...

My Production Diary (Documentary)

Production Diary So my production diary is a way I can show people how I filmed my shots and why I decided to film them. I filmed all of my shots in 4k resolution on my Galaxy S20 FE with my 1X lense. I hope this will help the client get to understand the thought process behind my work.  So the first shots I filmed where on 01/04/22 and these shots are for my b roll. I went outside of college and filmed various angles of the college. For this one I pointed my camera up towards the college to make the building look big and important. This is good at setting the scene for my viewers. I have also filmed different variations of this shot where I pan the camera up from the ground to create a bigger effect.  Here is the pavement part of the shot. This makes the person filming the shot feel inferior to the building which ultimately adds to the buildings importance. For this I pointed my camera to the ground and slowly pointed it up to show the top of the building. This shot inc...
