My Storyboard And Script For My Documentary

I drew this storyboard on Paint 3D

So my first shot will be of my desk and I will pair it with some facts and statistics about young people and technology. I will also do an introduction where I explain what I'm doing for the documentary.

My next shot will be of me speaking about things I do and why I do them to educate the viewer a little bit more about my life.

After that I will do a few shots of me leaving my house to go to college. I will use my tripod to try and capture various angles.

I will then go into more depth about my YouTube career, and how I have progressed as a content creator and why I like it.

After that I will show people the negative effects of technology and social media and how it can damage your mental health.

Finally I will wrap up the documentary with a hard hitting, dramatic outro.

My Script

In 2020 a study suggested that a whopping 97% of young people used technology on a daily basis a figure that has continued to increase over the last decade where we have seen technology change from a luxury into a necessity.

In fact the use of technology is at an all time high with studies even suggesting that at least 75% of jobs will require advanced digital skill by 2030 with Gen-Z being the most digitally capable generation yet.

So I decided to film a day in my life to show people just how much of it is affected and influenced by technology.

My interviews and thoughts will not be scripted. I'm doing this to create that raw and authentic feel.

Why I did the script and storyboard

I did these to help me get a better idea of what I'm doing whilst recording. This will also help the client to understand my idea and what I'm creating. If I don't do a script and storyboard there could be some miscommunication between me and the client which could lead to them expecting the wrong thing. That could potentially get me fired so I will do my best to try and avoid it.

Here is a visual storyboard, I made to give you a better idea of what I'm creating. I have took pictures to give you a better understanding. I hope this more developed storyboard helps you.
